Housestaff Permits

Starting July 1st, 2009 existing Housestaff permit customers with an assigned online customer ID number can purchase permits online:




New Customers

1. Stop by one of two Transportation Services' offices for your unique online Customer ID number (numbers cannot be issued by email or phone). You will also be issued a garage access card if you do not already have one.

Orders placed without a valid Customer ID number will not be processed.

2. The minimum purchase is seven (7) consecutive days. Orders placed for less than seven days will not be processed.

3. Enter the permit start date (date you will start using the permit) in the "Description" field on the online order form.

Order processing time is two working days; working days are Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays. For example, if you place your order on Tuesday at 1:00PM, your permit will be available for pick-up no later than Thursday at 1PM.

4. Your permit will be ready for pick-up on the permit start date or within two working days of placing your order, whichever is later.

5. Permit pick-up locations:

Monday - Friday (excluding University holidays)
8:15 AM to 6:30 PM

ACC Garage (entrance at Irving and Arguello)
G-level valet booth
All other times
Millberry Union Public Garage
H-level cashier booth

6. A valid UCSF ID is required to pick-up permits. Permits are non-transferable and can only be issued to the Housestaff permit holder that completed the online purchase.

7. Your credit card will be charged at the time of order.

8. Permit orders that are not picked-up and canceled after the start date will be refunded, minus a $10 processing fee. Permits not picked-up within seven days will be automatically canceled.

9. A full refund will be issued for orders canceled before the permit start date. Cancelations for a full refund must be made in person at one of our two office locations or by email to monica.caporale@ucsf.edu.

The email must include your full name, Customer ID number, permit start date, online receipt Transaction ID number.
